Meerkat

today for book week we have been learning about meerkat. It was interesting because we learnt a lot of  fun things about meerkats. Meerkat like eating lizards,spiders,larvae of moths, and even mice.

Armistice Day

Today PanmureBridge held  Armistice Day. This marks the 100th of Armistice Day. Armistice day which is every year on November the 11th to mark and remember the sign between the Allies of World War 1 and when the gun fell silent. We will remember those who fought for their country during World War 1.

Today we were creating a collage of ww1 when the war had ended people were celebrating the soldiers that had survived and came back from the world war people were happy and they were sad because mum had lost there husbands and kids.

Tech

Today for tech  at Tamaki college I was in the graphic group I was starting to finish my carving out when I had finished carving I have to get and roll the paint and roll it onto the piece of shirt then I put it  that squashes the paint and the piece of shirt.

How has technology changed the way we learn?

In the olden days children use to sit in rows and look up at the blackboard. They used slates to do their work but when they had finished they would rub it out. Today technology has changed where there are laptops were you can use your google drive to be able to look back at your work.

As technology got better the children started sitting in groups of four. There were listening posts so they could hear stories and tv’s would get wheeled in for the class to watch documentaries on.

Then came out the plasma tv’s, smart phones, smart boards and laptops that became popular. Kids used simple class computers until the chrome books came out and they had different kinds of technology in front of them.

Did you know technology connects us to the world? We are able to create DLOs using google drive and still be able to look back at the work that has been done.

We are also able to look at other people’s blog posts. You can share your work that you have posted on your blog. So then people can comment on your work or do something similar to what you have done.

This morning for tech we were starting i was on my art  work to my charity  lunch box we got to chose our own work to design it was hard to find what i wanted to draw when i finished drawing i was starting to colour in what t had been drawing when that was finished you have to give your art work is done.
